• Low coolant levels: Coolant absorbs heat from the engine. If there isn’t enough coolant, the engine can’t stay cool.
• Leaking radiator or hoses: Leaks in the radiator or hoses can cause coolant to escape, reducing its ability to cool the engine.
• Broken thermostat: The thermostat controls the flow of coolant. If it gets stuck, the coolant might not circulate properly.
• Faulty water pump: The water pump moves coolant through the engine. If it’s not working, the engine won’t get the cooling it needs.
• Blocked radiator: Dirt or debris can clog the radiator, making it hard for heat to escape.
