I am absolutely compelled to write this review..... Called David's Auto yesterday as my alternator was in the midst of dying, they were very helpful on the phone and agreed that what I was experiencing was the alternator and would get me in right away. So I drove directly there and dropped the car off, again very helpful and they would call with a quote shortly. That is where it took a turn for the worse. He called back with a price of $857 for a alternator and serpentine belt; well I nearly choked as the parts are max $150 at O'Reilly's (where they get their parts from and I had already priced the work out myself). Now I understand a markup on parts and all businesses have to make money but do the math and you can see this was not an honest deal. When I complained that the price was absolutely outrageous for the amount of work he tried to drop it $250, which is still $605. The fact that you can even drop the price that much for no reason and with no change is crazy. I brought them a self assessed problem that is basic work and they tried this, I can only imagine what they would have tried on my mother. I would avoid these scam artist as there are many reputable shops out there, this from my experience is not one. The icing on the cake was that he continued to argue with me as I picked up my car some how justifying his work (even saying that he knew he was about a $100 over the dealership, the dealership) Just really bad business.
Thank you for your feedback. We do apologize for your experience and would love the opportunity to speak with you to make things right. We do not have your name so it is hard to pinpoint exactly what happened. Please call me at 972-251-3369. - David, Owner
